We want every small business in Rhode Island to flourish in its own community and the towns around it. One shared direct mailer. 16 to 20 local businesses per edition. Every home in town. At a price a small shop can actually afford.
I was born and raised in Barrington. If you're from Rhode Island, you know the deal: a twenty-minute drive is a road trip, everyone has a cousin in Cranston, and nobody leaves the state if they don't have to.
Small business isn't a segment of the Rhode Island economy. It is the Rhode Island economy. About 99% of employers in the state are small businesses, and they employ more than half of the workforce. The roofer down the street. The family insurance office. The seafood shack near the water. That's who keeps the lights on.
Every owner I talked to had the same problem. Marketing is either too expensive or it never actually reaches the neighbors. A solo direct mailer runs $3,000 to $5,000+, so most owners give up and pour the money into Facebook ads that nobody sees. I built this co-op so 16 to 20 Rhode Island businesses can share one jumbo mailer, cover every door in the town, and pay a fraction of what a solo mailer would cost. Everyone flourishes in their community and the towns around it.
